For many years, a few days before Christmas, we have chosen a night and all the kiddos sleep under the Christmas tree! We all bring down couch cushions, pillows and blankets to try to soften the ground (one year it was on the tile floor...) and enjoy a lovely night sleeping under the beautiful lit Christmas tree. My mom has a strict policy of not putting her gifts under the tree until Christmas Eve, so there was always space to put your head under some of the lit branches and gaze up into the lit Christmas tree. How I love this tradition. Last night, Adam, Crawford and I all spent the night under my parents tree. It is never the best night's sleep but it is always full of sibling bonding and lots of fun.
I love all the twinkling lights at Christmas time.
Check out Janssen and Merrick's blogs to see what their favorite Christmas tradition is!
wow! I haven't done this since I was a teenager. I think it's great that you still do it with your siblings. This year we have a tiny tree but next year I can't wait to lay under our tree with my Son. Merry Christmas.
