Raiding My Sister's Closet: Winter White
Tuesday, February 4, 2014
Several years ago, before I met Adam, I went on a date to an opera. I had never been to the opera, and Merrick came over to help me get ready. After many minutes of digging through my closet and coming up empty, Merrick lent me a beautiful white wool coat that she had worn over to my apartment. I felt really lovely the whole night and was quite thrilled with the outfit and especially the coat. Many months later, I went on a date with a friend that we had seen at the opera that night, and we were talking about having been to that opera and you know what, he mentioned that he remembered that I had been wearing a beautiful white coat!!! Like 8 months later! And he was not a fashionista at all. That, my friends, is the power of winter white. Sadly, I don't have an awesome white coat in my wardrobe, so this beautiful, flowy white blouse has to do instead. I love this blouse. It is my go-to shirt right now. Perfect for layering, long sleeved for my freezing self in winter and will work with the change in season that is rapidly coming to Austin.
