2015: What did you like best?

Friday, January 1, 2016

Gosh, 2015 was a whirlwind!  I have seen so many fun blog wrap-ups as a New Year begins!  It has been such a good one for our family, my blog, and me, generally.  We had a baby, traveled to France for 7 weeks, I started a vlog, went to Portlandwore the same 15 items for 15 daystraveled to Utah, and had some recipe wins, and some loses (more than I would like to admit!). Overall, it was  great year!  I hope you had a great 2015, and are looking forward to this New Year!

As I gear up for my second year of food/minimalist living blogging, I want to know: what did you like best?

I have tried a few new things this year:

Vlogging

Healthy recipes

Tasty Recipes

Minimalist Living Posts

Traveling Posts

What have you enjoyed reading/watching?  What would you like to see more of?  Is there anything else I can add?

I wanted to get your feedback, since the reason why my blog even exists is because of all you lovely people that frequent it!

Thank you so much for your comments, your support, and your feedback!  It means a lot to me, and I am so grateful to be able to associate with all of you!  You make the internet a happy and inspiring place to be!  Here's to another wonderful year of tasty food, and minimalist living!

  1. Oooh!!! I just love your blog. I would love to see more Vlogs and Minimalist living posts, but I truly enjoy reading all of your posts. Particularly your travel ones, as it's always fun to see the world through someone else's lives. Happy New Year! and to another great year of blogging!

  2. Your blog is great and I've found quite a few wonderful recipes on here. I tried the raspberry macaroon recipe over the holidays and they were amazing! I've also tried the Honey Soaked Bran Muffins, and. Leek Bacon and Potato Jumble all of which were superb. The travel posts while you were living in France were fun too. As far as what I'd like to see more of, more minimalist living posts.

  3. Hello, I enjoy reading whatever you post. I actually have a baby the same age as Fox so I do enjoy reading updates about him and what he's doing ;)
Minimal living seems to be popular right now. Have you heard/read Marie Kondo's book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up? It's about tidying but also living with only things that bring you joy. I listened to the audio book and was super motivated to get rid of even more stuff. The overall main point made it a great book.

    1. Thanks so much for following along! Isn't this phase of babyhood SO much fun! There are challenges, of course, but Fox is just so full of life right now!
I think minimalist living is pretty popular right now! I have read most of the Marie Kondo book (I had to return it to the library before I finished, and the waiting list was insanely long). I took away some great stuff from that book, particularly what you mentioned with keeping the things that bring joy. I thought that was very inspiring. Thanks for the feedback :)

  4. Actually I love all your posts - the recipes (always give me dinner/baking ideas), the minimalist living and the travel posts, vlogs - all of it really. You have a really sweet and down-to-earth style. Now a days - when a lot of blog posts seem to be so glitzy and "photoshopped" (if you know what I mean), your posts seem authentic, simple and fresh. I would love more minimalist living posts too. Regardless, I will be visiting a lot in the coming year. Cheers and Happy New Year!

  6. I especially enjoy the recipes and minimalist living posts, although I have to second Pia's comment on your blogging style. It seems so very natural and I love it! My husband and I are traveling to Europe for the first time in May and I will definitely be revisiting your travel posts from France!
